Freedom Festival

Friday July 2nd was the first day of the Hot Air Balloon Festival so Nic and I woke up nice and early and ran (literally, we turned it into our morning workout) over to Bulldog field to check out the hot air balloons. Nixon thought they were so cool and totally loved looking at all of them. They could not fly that morning though because it got too hot too fast. They were flying Saturday and Monday though.

Saturday we spent the morning working on the yard then rewarded ourselves by going to 7 Peaks for the afternoon. It was the first time Nixon and I got to go with Dad so it made it more fun than usual. Forgot the camera for that. Saturday was the big Stadium of Fire but Nixon and I were so tired and crashed early while Nic stayed up to watch the fireworks.

Sunday was the 4th...nothing happened on Sunday in Provo except people camping out for their spot for the Grand Parade Monday morning. We live 2 blocks from the end of the route so Nic was able to wake up at 5am Monday morning to reserve our spot for the parade. Nixon was totally entertained during the whole parade. He literally sat there in his own chair for like 2 hours and watched the parade go by waiving and clapping and pointing and saying "whoa"! It was awesome!

That picture of Nixon in his vest in the rocking chair is amazing. What a cool kid.
