This morning Nic and I woke up around 7:15am to hit the gym before we had to be to work and class. As I was still getting dressed, Nic yells for me to come outside immediatley! I was running toward the front door when I heard a really loud noise that sounded like an elephant blowing air through it's trunk and I remember thinking "What in the world is an elephant doing in our yard?" (I think I was still half asleep!) Finally I peaked out our front door (hesitantly because I did not want to come face to face with an elephant) and this is what I saw...
...a huge hot air balloon landing in our front yard! Here is a video of the balloon actually landing on our street.
The people were very nice and let us get up close and see the balloon on the inside. The thing was HUGE!
After they switched out the tanks we got to see it take off...

I've never been that close to a hot air balloon but saw them flying over our house in Rocklin a few times. That was really cool!!
I totally miss this time of year and seeing all the hot air balloons fly across the sky. Megan watched the video with us and all she keeps saying is "a half naked wife" over and over. Thanks Nic!
