Christmas Letter

Nic has stayed busy this year as usual going to school full-time at Utah Valley University and working full-time as general manager of David Douglas Salon. He is always keeping is eyes peeled for a great business opportunity as he will be graduating from school in August 2011. Between work and school he manages to find time to create new business plans, do major remodeling projects around the house, have wrestling matches with Nixon, grow a garden, and help me out with whatever I’m too tired to do by the end of the day. He has also enjoyed his calling in church as an instructor for Elders Quorum. Nic is an amazing husband, father, and friend. I really appreciate all of his hard work.

This year has flown by for me as I have stayed equally busy. What seems to keep me the busiest is my full-time job as “mom.” Definitely the best job ever yet the most challenging, and exhausting job ever! I continued coaching tumbling for Avondale Academy, a dance studio in Cedar Hills, all the way through the end of the summer. I also started my own tumbling program this summer at a community center directly across the street from my house. I have continued coaching there but will be done in December as baby boy #2 will quickly be making an arrival come February 2011. I am also the Young Women’s President in my ward at church which has been such a fun calling. The girls are amazing and my testimony has been strengthened so much through them in the past 8 months.

Nixon is also busy…busy being a boy! He loves his cars, trucks, “choo-choo’s”, and balls. Ever since he learned to walk on his first birthday in February, the boy has not stopped moving. He now knows how to run, jump, kick, throw, and catch. Nixon joined me for the “Mom and Me” class that I teach once a week and also learned how to somersault, do a bridge, do the splits, and donkey kicks (handstands…kind of). I’d like to think I do a pretty good job keeping him entertained during the day but his favorite part of the day is when daddy comes home for wrestling, pillow fights, and tickle wars.

We have been so blessed this year and are looking forward to another wonderful, exciting, and busy year in 2011. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Lots of Love,
The Bennion Family
