What has happened to Thanksgiving? Where did it go? Why does it get lost in the holiday season? Sure people ask you what your plans are for Thanksgiving and all but when you tell them all they are REALLY thinking about is waking up early for killer deals on black friday. Seriously?!? As soon as Halloween is over, or sometimes even before Halloween is over, people are putting up their Christmas decorations. What about Thanksgiving decorations, people! I guess I just feel like people are more concerned about their holiday shopping around Thanksgiving time than they are about the actual holiday. And why don't we get more of a holiday break from work and school. You get 1 sometimes 2 days off...that's not a holiday vacation if you ask me! Does anyone else feel this way? So if you are reading this try to enjoy your Thanksgiving and just wait a few more days before you get too excited for Christmas stuff. Thanksgiving can be an exciting, and spiritually uplifting holiday too, if you let it be.

Ditto to that Kandis! It seems like the Christmas decorations were up before Halloween this year. The stores are chasing the all mighty dollar and not even thinking about being thankful for anything. I wish we were allowed to be grateful for a week instead of a day and then we can think about Christ's birth with a thankful heart!

Totally agree with you! No Christmas music or decorations until AFTER Thanksgiving. One holiday at a time! But, Loraya does get a whole week off of school. The first day of break we spent cleaning and doing laundry...fun huh? :)
