General Conference Weekend

For General Conference weekend Nic and I drove up to his parent's house in West Jordan and enjoyed the traditional breakfast which includes omelets, hashbrowns, bacon, and waffles with every kind of topping you can think of! So yummy! We pretty much eat so much for breakfast that we don't feel like eating for the rest of the day. We enjoyed listening to conference and trying to pick out Uncle Wayne from the choir any time the camera scanned the men's side. We actual saw him several times! Then we got to go visit Wayne and Laurie after conference was over so that they could meet Nixon for the first time. Nic and I had dressed up matching so that we could take some family pictures. Wayne was a good sport and did an excellent job as our photographer. We got some really good pics as you can see from my new header collage.

I am so thankful for our Prophet and love being able to hear from him and the apostles every 6 months. It is a great time to reevaluate how I am doing and motivate me to be better. I can't wait for the next issue of the ensign to come out so that I study the talks again. I really have a hard time listening to all the talks in detail, but when I can read them I do better at being able to really take in everything that was said. I am so thankful that I was able to be born into the church and that I can now raise my own family with the direction of the Holy Spirit and the truthfulness of the Gospel. I love going to the temple...I need to go more! Especially since we live so close to so many temples! I hope you all enjoyed conference as much as I did.
